I wanted to try this place for awhile because it got my attention being a new asian restaurant in oviedo. Personally i’m extremely picky when it comes to asian cuisine. I came in with my fiance and we ordered several small plates and cocktails. Perfect spot for date night. We got the mushroom delight, gong gong egg rolls and chili wontons and everything was absolutely delicious. Like when i say delicious, i mean mouth watering, want to eat it forever and ever delicious. Specifically the mushrooms. Never in my entire life have i loved a plate of mushrooms so much. The cocktails were good too. I believe i got the shanghai noon. All the food is decent value for what you get. We ate the three plates tapas style. Can’t wait to come back and try the three pigs fried rice, i was eyeing it on the menu but was so full by the time we finished trying the small plates. I am also looking forward to trying the mushroom fried rice, because i fear those mushrooms are in my dreams at night. Thank you for the amazing experience, loved it. Highly recommend!

Just tried Yao’s out tonight and we loved it! The decor is inviting and warm. The service was great, Marissa was our server and she did a great job explaining the menu to us and making sure we were enjoying our meal! And the food! Oh my gosh! We got a bunch of small plates and shared it all. I think my favorites were the General Yao’s fried tofu and the firecracker shrimp! There are so many more menu items to try! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

From the moment we stepped into YAOS, we were immersed in an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. The upscale Asian cuisine was nothing short of extraordinary, with each dish carefully crafted to balance traditional flavors with modern creativity. My brothers and I dining experience was elevated even further by our waiter, Marissa, whose impeccable service made the evening truly special. Ask her about Kill Bill, best cocktail I’ve ever had. From the detailed recommendations to the thoughtful pacing of our meal, every interaction was handled with genuine care and professionalism. Their attentiveness, warm demeanor, and deep knowledge of the menu showcased a level of hospitality that is rare to find. Can’t forget the drinks truly refined. Standout dishes included the Gong Gong Egg-rolls, which was an explosion of flavor, and the Mongolian Beef, delicately prepared with the finest ingredients. The ambiance, with its refined decor and soft lighting, perfectly complemented the exquisite cuisine. If you’re looking for an upscale Asian dining experience that combines top-tier service with phenomenal food, YAOS is a must-visit. We will absolutely be returning!

Yao’s is the best Chinese food I’ve had in Florida! The color, aroma, and taste of every dish are truly Michelin-worthy. The service is warm and attentive, the decor is modern and stylish, and the pricing is very reasonable. I have had this restaurant on my radar since it opened. Usually when I’m this excited for a new restaurant, I’m let down. NOT IN THIS CASE!! I went in not knowing what to expect and had my mind was blown! Not only was the restaurant visually beautiful, it was very laid back and open. From the hostess to our server and the rest of the support staff, this was one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Our server, Kyle explained the menu well and gave us enough time to make our decisions without pressure. All of the plates on the front of the menu are smaller, tapas-style (shareable) plates. The back of the menu has larger portion, family-style dishes. We chose to do a selection from both sides. The plates come out as they are ready, so don’t expect everything to come to the table at one time. (See pictures) This was fantastic because we had time to enjoy each plate, talk about it, and let it settle before the next plate came out. This was also great because everything came out hot and fresh, it didn’t sit in a pass window waiting for the whole ticket to be completed. We had 5 dishes—Yao’s Baos, Gong Gong Eggrolls, Firecracker Shrimp, Fried Green Beans, and Three Pigs Fried Rice. NOTHING was bad. Plate after plate, we were filled with food joy. Yao’s Baos, Firecracker Shrimp, and the Three Pigs Fried Rice were top three. The Baos were light and fluffy, with a rich and savory pork Char Siu. The Firecracker Shrimp was an unexpectedly large portion, and hands down the one that blew us away the most. (I don’t normally like shrimp, but I could eat this for every meal) The fried rice was smoky and savory, with the most perfect simple and complex flavor (wok-hei). I would not call this restaurant expensive, but it certainly feels like you’re eating at an expensive Asian restaurant. I felt like every dollar spent was absolutely worth it. This meal took me out of the day-to-day world and gave me something positive and beautiful to focus on. I cannot recommend Yao’s enough!! This is a locally owned business and we need to support our local restaurants and small businesses. Yao’s will now be in our regular rotation for dining out. Please visit Yao’s and give them all your money, your stomach will thank you. Your soul will thank you. The staff will thank you!
